<div>Hello, my name is Tina Neese and I’m reaching out with the heaviest heart a mother can carry. My 35 year-old daughter Brittany Neese is a single mother of five beautiful children, ages 4, 5, 6, 7, and 15. She is a disabled Army veteran, a survivor of domestic violence, and a true fighter in every sense of the word.

<div>Since 2020, she has been courageously battling late-stage cervical cancer—cancer that could have been treated early, but due to COVID-related surgery restrictions, was left to progress unchecked. She has endured 5 rounds of chemotherapy and radiation in a desperate fight to stay with her children just a little longer.

<div>Today, she is in hospice care. She has returned home, where I am caring for her full time as her mother, watching her fight for every moment with her kids. It is a devastating journey, but one she walks with grace and strength.

<div>Her greatest fear is not for herself—but for her children.
</div>
<div>She wants to know her kids will be safe and cared for after she's gone. Unfortunately, because of the past domestic violence, we are seeking legal custody to ensure the children are not returned to that unsafe environment. We need help covering the legal fees associated with hiring an attorney to secure permanent custody and protect these kids from returning to trauma.
