Britni and Doug are the kind of people who always put others first. As registered nurses, EMTs, and firefighters, they have dedicated their lives to serving their community, often volunteering their time and skills to help those in need. Doug has worked as a code enforcement officer, CNA, and wildland firefighter, risking his life and spending weeks away from his family to protect others. Britni, in addition to her roles as a nurse and EMT, served as the volunteer Fire Chief of Castle Dale City while raising her children and attending nursing school. Their commitment to service is matched only by their love for their family and their willingness to step up for others, no matter the circumstances.

This year, their family has faced an overwhelming series of challenges. In February, Britni gave birth to their third child, Azriel. Just a few months later, while still on maternity leave, Britni and Doug welcomed three more children into their home unexpectedly. Suddenly, their household grew from three children to six. As they adjusted to their new family dynamic, Doug suffered a severe foot infection that required multiple surgeries and ongoing IV antibiotics, leaving him unable to work. Britni, who has Celiac Disease, has also faced increased costs for specialty foods and must commute long distances for work and the children’s needs.

With both parents unable to work full-time, the family’s income has dropped dramatically. They are now facing urgent financial needs, including travel expenses for medical appointments over 120 miles away, mounting medical bills, and a mortgage that is at risk of foreclosure. The children, who are transitioning to public school, need supplies and clothing. Despite these hardships, Britni and Doug remain focused on caring for their family and community. Your support will help them cover essential costs and keep their family together during this critical time.

If we are able to reach our goal $50,000 will be used toward the mortgage and utilities to hopefully get them ahead for a few months; and the remainder will go toward any medical expenses left to patient responsibility as well as any incidentals the kiddos may need for school.
