Brian, my husband, is a 63-year-old Navy veteran who has always lived life with energy and kindness. After serving on a submarine and helping the chef cook meals for the crew, he carried his love for cooking into civilian life, making delicious meals at home and even selling kettle corn in all kinds of flavors just for fun. Since retiring a year ago, Brian has enjoyed fishing and spending time together, making the most of every day. 
 
 
 Brian loves his family and friends deeply and would do anything for them. His caring spirit has always been a source of strength for those around him. Now, as we face this challenge, we are leaning on the support of our loved ones and the power of prayer. With God’s help, we believe we can get through this difficult time and give Brian the chance to enjoy married life to the fullest. 
 
 
 Recently, our lives changed when Brian became extremely tired and started sleeping for days at a time. His hemoglobin levels dropped so low that his doctors sent him to the hospital immediately. After a series of tests, we received the devastating news that Brian has both liver and neck cancer. He just started his first round of chemotherapy, which involves long days at the cancer center and a week of self-injecting chemo at home. The process is exhausting, and some days are harder than others. Brian struggles to eat and drink, and he needs regular hydration treatments at the center. 
 
 
 We are taking things one day at a time, but the financial strain is growing. We need help covering medical costs, co-payments, supplies, and everyday expenses like electricity.
