My name is Brianna Mottey and I am a writer, creative director, and producer based in Los Angeles, California who hosted my very first poetry jam on March 15th!

The event is an extension of my brand, Portals to Poetry, a digital journal and visual archive of my personal work and musings that also serves as an imaginative platform for storytellers and artists alike.

So, this isn't just any poetry jam. My mission is to curate spaces that gather and uplift the voices and stories of diverse communities through the art of storytelling, live performances, and creative activities.

In addition to an incredible lineup of performers from poets to musicians, there will also be a series of free activities:

that will activate our imaginations and channel the spirit of spring as we flow into the next season.

This was the first of many Poetry Jams that aims to unite artists, writers, poets, performers, and folks from all walks of life in a dynamic environment that encourages freedom and self-expression, no matter the season of life.

It will also help us collaborate with select vendors, providing unique offerings that enhance the guest experience and foster a sense of belonging.
