<div>I am raising funds for my friend Brian Smith and his wife Athena, Nina to those close to her. I have known Brian for nearly 20 years and Nina has been the love and light of his life since they met. Nina was diagnosed with a level 4 glioblastoma in 2023. Brian and Nina have courageously battled this cancer from day 1. Nina underwent surgery in 2023 to remove the tumor that was on her brain and it appeared to be a successful outcome. Unfortunately in one of her follow-up scans, a second tumor was identified. In her most recent visit with her oncologist, Nina was informed that she has 3 - 6 months to live. This is such tragic news yet both Nina and Brian are at peace with this and remain steadfast in their faith. Nina knows that she will be reunited with family members who have left our world already.

<div>Embracing this situation and taking steps to make Nina as comfortable as possible during this time and focusing on making meaningful memories will be their emphasis going forward.

<div>As I'm sure you can imagine, this situation has taken a toll on the family both emotionally and financially. I am hopeful that we can raise some money to help them with this and maybe even allow them to do something special as they navigate this very difficult path.
