<div>To keep it short - in 2017 I met someone who I thought would be my person. Unfortunately I ended up in an abusive relationship that I’ve since moved forward from… but I wouldn’t have been able to do it without my dog, Bonner.  A good friend of mine, Sabrina, happened to have an Olde English bulldog that I was taking care of while she was out of the country. His name is Johnny Cash and wow  did he protect and love me while in this sour relationship. I fell in love with the breed. I knew I needed some time and to save for a dog of my own …

<div>About six months after this relationship ended I ended up finding a note (that I still have) asking God to send me my BonBon. I was working at Ledger restaurant at the time and there was this day where every dog was coming up to me, to the point an owner told me their dog hates everyone (lol) and they were surprised by the affection. I called Sabrina and she got me in touch with her friend Alix, out of Utah. It turns out a litter had been born -That day- it was truly meant to be.

<div>I sat in the kitchen with one of my close friends Amanda and in a divine moment, my mom randomly sent me a picture of my great grandfather: she had no clue I was coming up with a name for a dog ..let alone bringing little Bon into my life. Many make fun of his name but he’s actually named after my great grandfather who delivered all the babies out of Waterbury, Connecticut during the Spanish flu pandemic.

<div>Bonner is an angel sent from heaven and still has many years left. He doesn’t bark or antagonize: he only heals. He loves children, other dogs, and has a thing for short blonde women (don’t ask me why).  People who don’t like dogs find themselves fascinated that they adore him. Keeping him alive right now is tough. We’re about 14k in debt and I really am not ready to let him go. So anything anyone can donate would mean so much to not just me, but Bonner and anyone who loves him.
