<div>This GoFundMe has been launched to help us raise funds to finalize the build-out of a Commercial Kitchen at the Bodega Bay Grange - the primary emergency shelter on the Sonoma Coast!

<div>Our organization exists to serve the Bodega Bay community in diverse ways, holding events such as town halls, school plays, private gatherings and as a critical resource for disaster relief. We hold meetings at 6pm on the first Thursday of each month.
</div>

<div>During the 2017 Tubbs fire, as many as 3,000 evacuees made their way to the Coast with nothing but the clothes on their backs, taking refuge in our campgrounds and on our beaches; some staying for as long as a week plus. Members of our community saw the immediate need, mobilized, and established a food service at the Grange Hall where hundreds of people were fed.

<div>After serving meals for a couple of days, the Sonoma County Health Services shut down the Grange Hall kitchen because it did not meet “commercial” standards required in order to feed the public, not even cold sandwiches. This was not good.
</div>

<div>Whether you live here, work here, or visit here, there is a high probability that you will be here for the next disaster that would cut us off from the rest of the County - it could be an earthquake (as predicted by the USGS), a fire, downed trees from major storms as we saw in 2025, or another unexpected event. This is why it’s imperative that we have a facility that meets the needs of all who will be stranded in this community when the next unprecedented event strikes.

<div>We’ve made good progress with fundraising, having completed Phase 1 (ADA-compliant restrooms as required by the County) in 2023. Now, we are on to Phase 2, the completion of the Commercial Kitchen! This is where you can help - we need to raise the final $120,000 to complete the project, which has begin in late October 2025.
