<div>We are reaching out to you during a time of great need for Bob Valente and his family. Bob has been battling idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis for many years, a relentless disease that has led to three separate lung transplants. Despite the enormous challenges, Bob has faced each transplant with courage and determination.
</div>

<div>Bob received his first double lung transplant in July 2014. Unfortunately, he experienced rejection, leading to a second single lung transplant in July 2020. Most recently, in July 2024, Bob underwent a third single lung transplant. Unlike previous times, where Bob continued to work up until his transplants and even from his hospital bed, this time has been different.

<div>After his third transplant, Bob faced a significant setback. Two weeks after the procedure, he required a colectomy, further complicating his recovery. As a result, he had to be admitted to inpatient care at Shirley Ryan, where he is currently undergoing an extended recovery process.

<div>Bob’s resilience and strength have been nothing short of inspiring, but this time, the journey has taken a toll on him and his family. He is now older, and the prolonged recovery means he has been unable to work, adding financial strain to the already overwhelming situation.

<div>For the first time in Bob’s long battle with this illness, the Valente family is asking for financial help. The funds raised will go towards:

</div>
<div>-Assisted home care
</div>
<div>-Daily expenses for raising their three beautiful children
