Support Black LGBTQ Creatives

When talking about journalism, Black media outlets and platforms centring the QTIBPOC* are often forgotten in the wider conversations about race and gender.

AZ Magazine  is an online platform created by four Black queer women in a bid to address the need for spaces where LGBTQ+ Black people and people of colour could amplify their voices, share their stories and feel safe in their community. Over the past five years we have built a self-funded, award-nominated online community, social space and events company, (all whilst maintaining full-time jobs!)  Since it’s birth in 2015, we've produced 10+ events, shared 250+ stories and reached people in over 200 countries- including places where it's illegal to freely identify as LGBTQ+.

During this turbulent time whilst we're unable to physically support each other, it's important that AZ Magazine are able to continue virtually supporting our community- financially and otherwise.

Our AZ Magazine motto is We Are Y(our) Voice. In the past our stories were told for us, please allow us to continue amplifying the voices of those who are too often forgotten so we can be the tellers of our own stories.
