<div><strong>Bethany Wildes, at just 42 years old, is facing the fight of her life.</strong>

<div>She is not only an extraordinary individual — Bethany is an accomplished violin professor and performer who many of us have come to know and love as our collective mother — a mentor, a guide, and a nurturing presence who has touched countless lives through her compassion, wisdom, and music.

<div>Now, Bethany is courageously battling Stage IV metastatic breast cancer, which has spread to her liver, abdomen, and spine. One of the most serious complications she now faces is malignant pleural effusion (MPE) — a condition where cancer causes fluid to build up between the chest wall and the lungs, leading to constant pressure, low oxygen levels, and severe shortness of breath.

<div>To relieve this condition, doctors recently placed PleurX catheters, allowing Bethany to drain the fluid at home and breathe with more ease. While this brings some relief, it also carries a high risk of infection and requires frequent follow-ups, medical supplies, supervision, and in-home care.

<div><strong>Her best chance of survival lies in receiving advanced treatment at the renowned MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas — but sadly, her insurance does not cover care at this facility.</strong>

<div>Bethany is no longer able to work, and the financial burden has become overwhelming. We anticipate that her treatment will take two years. While every contribution large or small is highly appreciated, recurring monthly donations will have the greatest impact in helping her pay for the treatment.
