Hello Everyone,

My name is Brenda Teucke and I am reaching out to ask for support for my only sibling, my sister, Beth Harris.

This past year has unexpectedly brought many health challenges to Beth. In August of last year, Beth fell and completely shattered her shoulder causing her to undergo surgery for a full replacement. During this process, the doctor's discovered she is in stage 4 liver failure and diagnosed with NASH (nonalcoholic steatohepatitis). Ultimately, this led to the news that Beth will need a liver transplant. Over the last few months, Beth has completed numerus tests to be able to apply for a liver transplant, including tests on heart, kidneys, lungs, a colonoscopy and endoscopy, dental clearance, regular blood testing, etc. I am happy to share that she has been approved for a liver transplant.

Needless to say, the past year has plummeted Beth's finances due to what seems like endless medical bills. We are so grateful for the transplant team at Henry Ford Detroit. They have guided us through this lengthy process every step of the way. The transplant team suggested we create this fundraiser, as they know how financially debilitating this testing and transplant is on their patients.

I humbly ask you to please support my sister through this difficult journey. She has a long road ahead, but this support will help her tremendously. She is trying hard to remain positive through this unexpected and difficult time.
