Esta situación ha sido muy estresante y dolorosa para nuestra familia. Como no puedo trabajar, nuestra situación económica se ha vuelto muy complicada.

<div>Hi everyone, my name is Benita. Two years ago, I was diagnosed with (Auto-immune cirrhosis), which has severely affected my health. As a result, I had to leave my job due to the weakening of my body and the toll the illness takes on me daily. Despite these challenges, I’ve been trying my best to stay positive and manage the situation.

<div>However, things have taken another difficult turn. About a month ago, my husband was stopped by a police officer and, unfortunately, he was arrested and is currently under ICE custody. This has been an incredibly stressful and emotional time for our family, and as I am unable to work, I find myself struggling financially.

<div>We are asking for help from our family, friends, and kind-hearted strangers to raise funds for legal expenses so we can fight for my husband's release and ensure that we have the necessary resources to navigate this tough situation. Right now, we have additional attorney’s fees of $3,000 and we have to pay immigration $1,600. Any amount, big or small, will make a huge difference in our ability to afford a lawyer and other associated costs.
