Support Belly's Crab Corner

Donation protected

Belly’s Crab Corner started only as a fund raiser to raise money for back-to-school in 2017.

From there, Andrew Bell (Known to many as “Belly”) and His Wife Keyaundra, along with their family of 6  kids decided to share their  seafood dinners with the community on weekends from a pop-up tent in the yard of their uncle’s house. The business quickly became successful  and eventually they decided to go full time in selling seafood.

After 1 year, and Saving enough they were able to upgrade to a food trailer, moving the business from their uncle’s house to a bigger space. From there, With the help of their extremely customer friendly daughters who happen to take all orders, they were able to build a large following including a ton of regular customers who they know on first name basis.

Over the next year or so, they were anonymously involved with donating directly to victims of Hurricane Michael in the Panhandle Florida, Hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas as well as donating directly to High School seniors who are expected to attend college the fall of 2020.

By now, the family is ready to grow their business as they could barely keep up with the demand of their product. Customers would wait 2+ hours before hearing their name. So, In the summer of 2020 they took their savings and purchased a much larger Food trailer with hopes of better serving their customers.

And this is where tragedy struck.

On the afternoon of June 20, 2020. They came to pick up their brand knew trailer of 2 weeks  only to find it was completely destroyed by a vicious fire. With no immediate answers, Belly’s Crab Corner was forced to close until further notice.

“Everything was in there. Pots, pans, cash register, blood, sweat, tears, hard work”

Be a part of Team Belly Bunch by helping this family of eight bounce back from an unimaginable set-back to their business.  Imagine growing your business to the point that you are now ready to expand, then buying a new larger facility only for a fire to destroy it less than two weeks later!  Many small businesses are not able to bounce back from that, but Belly’s Crab Corner will.

We need them to get back up and running so we can continue to enjoy the BEST SEAFOOD IN DADE COUNTY!  Not only did Belly lose the brand new trailer, but also their entire inventory of cooking equipment and supplies needed to begin selling again.

The family is actively working to rebuild and is appreciative of all the love and support from their dedicated customers near and far.  Join Team Belly Bunch in bringing back our beloved seafood platters so we don’t have to try and figure out #whatsinthesauce.  Your donation is greatly appreciated.  Much Love – LaKeesha (aka “her brother has that food truck in Goulds”).
