Hello all! I am Beth Headen. I have known Bekah and Ryan, Jace’s parents, since 2009 when we met at Word of Life Bible Institute. She has been such a faithful friend over the years and God has placed us just a few minutes away in Lynchburg, Virginia. I have set up the go fund me account to help pay for Jace’s medical expenses during his time at UVA. Bekah and Ryan also needed to travel from Lynchburg to UVA during his stay at the hospital. All the funds raised from this account will be used to assist Bekah and Ryan with Jace’s medical costs, gas to and from Charlottesville, and his memorial service. Bekah and Ryan have been given acces to the account and will be accepting the funds directly.
Precious baby Jace was born on June 21st. At 25 weeks Jace was diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, a congenital birth defect that affects normal blood flow through the heart. Jace underwent a series of surgeries and was eventually placed on the heart transplant list.
From Ryan and Bekah on Tuesday June 17, 2018,
“Jace finished his journey this afternoon and he is in heaven with a perfect heart. He went in for a procedure Monday morning during which he went into cardiac arrest. His heart stopped for far too long and unfortunately there was to much damage to his brain and organs to recover. Bekah and myself made the decision today to remove Jace from life support while he was surrounded by his family who care for him deeply. Through this deep pain we wanted to let you all know just how much we appreciate your support. We were able to worry about nothing but Jace for those 3 precious weeks we got to spend with him. That is a gift we could never begin to repay. Your prayers are still deeply appreciated as we work through this process and begin to move forward.

The verse Bekah and Ryan decided to claim for Jace is: Jeremiah 29:11-14. "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.”
