Becky and I have been friends for 47 years, ever since we met in kindergarten. Over the decades, I’ve seen her kindness, resilience, and generosity touch so many lives—including my own. Now, Becky and her partner are facing one of the hardest challenges of their lives. 
 
 
 
 Becky works tirelessly as a dog groomer, and her partner, who has had one leg amputated, has faced even greater obstacles. After being laid off over a year ago, he did everything he could to support their family, including working as a delivery driver. Unfortunately, when his vehicle needed repairs they couldn’t afford, he lost that source of income as well. Despite their best efforts, they have fallen behind on rent and owe their landlord a significant amount. They are working hard to complete the paperwork for local and state rent assistance, but the process takes time, and they are at risk of eviction before help arrives. 
 
 
 
 The funds raised here will go directly toward paying their landlord and keeping their family in their home while they finish the assistance process. Becky and her partner have two wonderful kids—one in college and one who just graduated high school. They have always been the first to help others in need, but now they find themselves in the difficult position of needing help themselves.
