<div>El 10 de abril de 2025, nuestra querida Beatriz H. Lopera sufrió un episodio de salud repentino y preocupante: el lado izquierdo de su labio inferior se cayó de manera inesperada. Este síntoma, frecuentemente relacionado con trastornos neurológicos, dio inicio a una serie de estudios médicos urgentes. Desde entonces, no ha podido trabajar y actualmente está atravesando múltiples exámenes neurológicos y sistémicos, incluyendo resonancias magnéticas, pruebas de anticuerpos y evaluaciones neuromusculares. Los médicos sospechan de una condición que afecta los nervios craneales o la unión neuromuscular, y es probable que necesite una cirugía dependiendo de los resultados que están por venir.

<div>Beatriz siempre ha sido una mujer independiente y trabajadora, pero ahora se encuentra en una situación donde necesita el apoyo de los demás para enfrentar este difícil proceso médico. Como si esto no fuera suficiente, su carro también se averió, dejándola sin transporte para asistir a sus citas médicas ni cubrir sus necesidades básicas.

<div>On April 10th, 2025, our beloved Beatriz H. Lopera experienced a sudden and alarming health episode that caused the left side of her lower lip to droop. This sign, often associated with neurological disorders, prompted a series of urgent medical evaluations. Since that day, she has been unable to work and is currently undergoing multiple neurological and systemic tests, including MRIs, antibody screenings, and neuromuscular evaluations. Her doctors suspect a condition affecting the cranial nerves or neuromuscular junction, and surgery may be necessary depending on the upcoming results.

<div>Beatriz has always been an independent, hard-working woman who now finds herself in a position where she must rely on others while navigating an overwhelming medical journey. To make matters more difficult, her car also broke down shortly after, leaving her without reliable transportation for medical visits and basic needs.

<div>We have applied for short- and long-term disability assistance, but the process is slow and approval is still pending. In the meantime, we are facing mounting medical expenses, transportation needs, and daily living costs that she cannot meet on her own.
