Hi friends and family! This is a fundraiser for the Beacon Model United Nations team. We are a thriving NYC public high school club that focuses on international politics and emphasizes our responsibility as global citizens to engage with pressing issues like climate change. Along with countless other conferences, we’ve been named the overall best delegation at the high-profile conference GCIMUN, staged at the real United Nations, twice in a row, and now we’re going to out-of-state conferences at Colleges and Universities! We have been ranked among the top 25 North American Model UN Teams by Best Delegate, and frequently visit the UN missions of nations such as Iran and Denmark to converse with diplomats on important global topics. Today, we’re asking for your support in sending our club to the competitive Johns Hopkins Model UN Conference and supporting our mission of providing a space open to all Beacon students who want to engage with international relations.
