Hello friends, family, and artistic swimming enthusiasts,
This summer marks a significant milestone for Bay Area Synchro as Natalie and her teammates head to Châlons en Champagne, France, to compete in an international artistic swimming event.
This isn't just any competition; it's a chance to push for the inclusion of artistic swimming in the Paralympics, showcasing the talents of athletes with disabilities on a global stage.
For over a decade, Bay Area Synchro, a dedicated volunteer-run nonprofit, have driven for inclusion within the sport, making it accessible and competitive for athletes with disabilities. Their work has led to historical participations in events like the California State Games, the Junior Olympics and the FINA World Championships, setting new standards for what athletes with disabilities can achieve in artistic swimming.
Natalie and her teammates embody the spirit and success of this inclusive mission. Through the sport, they have experienced significant mental and physical growth, improved teamwork skills, and learned to navigate the pressures of competitive sports, all while being part of an empowering community.
We now need your help to continue this legacy of change and support Natalie and her team as they represent inclusivity and excellence on the world stage.
Why We Need Your Help:
Taking our mission international involves substantial costs, especially as we aim to ensure our volunteer coaches, who are key to our athletes' training and safety, can travel with the team. We need funding for:
- Airfare for our volunteer coaches
- Accommodations and daily expenses
- Local transportation in France
How You Can Make a Difference:
Your donation ensures our athletes receive the support and guidance they need abroad. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us get closer to our goal and supports our vision of a more inclusive sporting world.
Thank you for your support and belief in our mission. Let’s make waves together!
