<div>On June 9th, their world was turned upside down when they learned of Spencer's diagnosis. He had been battling a few colds, like any toddler, but when things worsened, Jackie took him immediately to the ER in Picton. Things quickly escalated, and Spencer was soon rushed to Kingston General Hospital for further testing. That evening, the oncologist delivered the devastating news that Spencer has acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

<div>As a family, we are still reeling from the news but glad that he is now getting the care he needs. He has already started chemotherapy, which will be a part of his treatment  for the next two and a half years.

<div>Jackie and John will undoubtedly need to take time off from work during Spencer's treatment and will be driving back and forth to Kingston for treatments, which is about an hour from their home in Prince Edward County.

<div>We set up this fund for anyone looking to help. With the extensive time off from work and gas prices soaring, we thought this was the least we could do to help lessen the financial burden that may come with this diagnosis. We hope their energy and attention can be solely focused on helping Spencer to get better.
