<div>In mid-March, Shannon and Michael Krites welcomed their beautiful baby boy, Rory—born unexpectedly at just 26 weeks.

<div>Early in the pregnancy, Shannon began experiencing complications. Doctors recommended a reduced workload, then full bed rest. Eventually, an emergency C-section was needed, and Rory made his arrival far earlier than anyone hoped.
</div>

<div>While Shannon recovered, doctors discovered Rory had a critical heart complication. He was airlifted from Idaho Falls to Salt Lake City’s Children’s Hospital, where he underwent a successful heart surgery. In the weeks since, he’s continued to battle the challenges of premature birth, including Chronic Lung Disease. But Rory is strong, spirited, and making steady progress—including needing less oxygen support.
