This is Baby Raymond. His mom and dad are Alyssa and Michael, both brand new parents. Raymond is 6 weeks old and was born on July 31st, 2025.

He was born a bright, healthy baby, and he changed the life of his mom and dad for the better. They were exactly what he needed. There were no warning signs of anything being wrong during Alyssa's pregnancy, so this happening to Raymond and them was not in the cards they had planned but unfortunately in the cards God dealt.

Raymond, shortly after, started experiencing breathing issues, having desats, and needed to be tubed. This was the first symptom of many that would let us know just how sick he really is before they transferred him to Children's Hospital in Detroit. Raymond has been there since 08-01-2025.

His doctor and care team today recommended palliative care after his most recent surgery after they let Alyssa and Michael know there is no cure for baby Raymond. This is all so much for a new family to be dealing with. They and Raymond are taking each day as it comes with so much hope, faith, grace, and gratitude. Raymond's ongoing diagnoses are:

- Trisomy 21

- Congenital Heart Disease

- Hirschsprung’s Disease

- Catheter-related bloodstream infection

- Complicated bacteremia

- And many more complications

My sweet nephew is sick.

Raymond's mom and dad are struggling and have so many things going on right now at once.

The drive to and from on days they are not able to stay in Detroit, the surgeries, the mental and emotional load, and the constant emergency runs back and forth. Multiple stays at multiple places to ensure they can be down there with their son because tomorrow is not promised in their case. All of these things are taking a huge mental load on these new parents. I know I am struggling in life; I can't imagine daily living on top of dealing with this load of financially, mentally, and emotionally draining situation for all included, especially the little one who's fighting for his life every single minute.

I'm mainly looking to start a huge prayer chain, as I believe the power of prayer goes a long way, and even if that's all we get out of this GoFundMe, we will be thankful.
