Baby Attykis

We went to a follow-up appointment and at that appointment, they noticed his breathing and sent us to the emergency room. From there, they did an X-ray of his heart and noticed that his heart was enlarged.

They flew us to ABQ Children's Hospital and they did more testing, intubated him, kept him sedated, and on multiple medications. They redid the echo X-ray and noticed that he has a little murmur and that his left aortic valve didn't form correctly, which caused his heart to work twice as hard and wasn't able to pump the blood and oxygen throughout his body.

They then flew us to Denver Children's Hospital where they ran more tests and did a procedure to open the valve.

He is now recovering well!

But the recovery time is unknown. They said it could be days or weeks; it's all dependent upon how he does.

Thankfully, our Lord stepped in and saved this beautiful little boy. But now his parents have multiple financial stresses to face. Dad, Arahlynn and Adhonnis, his two older siblings aged 2 and 4 will be traveling up to Denver to be with Mommy and Attykis. Please pray for their journey to be safe. Denver Children's Hospital is 10.5 hours from home, so travel expenses will add up quickly. Of course, they have to eat, another expense they weren't expecting.
