</div>My name is Kashica, and I am Ava’s mom. From the very beginning, Ava has faced medical challenges with incredible strength, resilience, and grace. After years of treatments, appointments, and advocacy, we are now stepping into a hopeful but demanding chapter: gene therapy.

This treatment offers the possibility of long-term improvement for Ava’s health, but it also comes with significant financial responsibility. <br /><br />The process requires travel to Chapel Hill for extended hospital stays, multiple phases of care, and time away from work to be fully present for her needs. Beginning January 1st, we are also responsible for a new insurance deductible of $3,000, in addition to costs that insurance does not fully cover.

After much prayer and reflection, we created this GoFundMe to help ease the financial burden during this critical season. <br /><br />The funds raised will go toward:
<br /> •	Insurance deductibles and medical expenses
<br /> •	Travel, lodging, meals, and gas for treatment weeks<br /> •	Household bills during unpaid time away from work
<br /> •	Supporting Ava’s comfort, care, and recovery
