Hi! I'm Autumn Davis. I'm a Junior at Georgia State University and I started my Nursing Program in January. I need help, and so does my dad, in paying for a cornea replacement of my right eye. I've had a recurring viral infection of my right eye since I was a baby. My dad says that I was 16 months old when the first outbreak damaged my cornea. Every time since then, when I have gotten another infection, it has damaged my eye. Early 2024, I had another bad outbreak and found out a few months after that the nerves in my eye were basically dead. I went on an intensive regimen of stem-cell-based eye-drop therapy for eight weeks in hopes that some of the nerves would grow again. Luckily, it worked and some nerves came back; however, there was far more damage done to the cornea.

The fall of last year, at a follow-up exam, the eye specialist said there was nothing else they could do to help other than for me to have a corneal replacement. Dad's insurance has a high deductible and there some things (corneal tissue) that it won't cover unfortunately.

I would appreciate any help financially that can be afforded as my dad has his own medical bills he is still paying for and of course I've already started Nursing school. Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity.
