<div>Aubrey is 17 years old and is battling cancer. We need your help

<div>While we care for our daughter.
</div>
<div>In September 2023 Aubrey was diagnosed with T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma which is a very aggressive type of blood cancer. Just 2 weeks after her 15th birthday.
</div>

<div>Aubrey had a huge mass in her chest and fluid around her heart and was admitted to the ICU at Mott's children's hospital in Ann Arbor Michigan.
</div>
<div>She spent 12 days before being discharged.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For the next 6 months she received weekly chemotherapy treatments as well as blood transfusions and other various appointments.
</div>
<div>Sometimes she would have appointments 3 times a week that lasted all day.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The treatment made Aubrey very sick and she lost a lot of weight and couldn't eat much without throwing up. She eventually ended up with severe pancreatitis from one of the chemos and almost died. She spent 2 weeks in the hospital for that.
</div>

</div>
<div>Her immune system is compromised so even a common cold put her in the hospital for a week.
</div>
<div>It was very scary for Aubrey, myself, Aubrey's Mom and Our son who was only 4 at the time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Aubrey missed her 10th grade year of highschool and that was hard for her.
</div>
<div>She loves school!!
</div>
<div>Things were looking up and she was able to make up her school work and went on to 11th grade and finished.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For the last two years she has been receiving chemotherapy and was in the maintenance stage of treatment and was doing treatments once a month. She was only 5 treatments away from the end of treatment.
</div>
<div>And wasn't showing any signs of active cancer. She was feeling great and looking great... And finished her 11th grade year.
</div>
<div>Then all of the sudden Aubrey started feeling something in her chest and asked to go to the ER.
</div>
<div>She had fluid around her heart again
</div>
<div>Unfortunately the cancer has come back. And it is even more aggressive now.
</div>
<div>She was admitted back to Mott's on August 15th 2025 and was giving intense chemotherapy.
</div>
<div>She spent 25 days in the hospital And celebrated her 17th before being discharged.
</div>
<div>She was only home for a week and was readmitted. On September 14th 2025
</div>
<div>It is now October 10.
</div>
<div>Aubrey had just had a PET scan and it showed that the cancer was almost gone!
</div>
<div>That was great news. And the doctors were ready to move on to the bone marrow transplant.
</div>
<div>Unfortunately one of the chemos damaged her nerves and she has been in a lot of pain in her feet legs and hands.
</div>
<div>It started with just pain...
</div>
<div>But then progressed to neuropathy. Aubrey can't feel her legs or feet or hands. She can not move her legs or feet at all, nor her hands.
</div>
<div>Due to that, she has become immobile and from the immobility, she has developed fluid in her lungs.
</div>
<div><br />

<div>So on October 5th She was sent to the ICU and put on a C-PAP breathing mask. there is so much fluid in her lungs she can't breathe on her own.
</div>
<div>She is also unable to communicate as she is so weak she can't hardly make a sound. And her hands don't work so she can't even write to communicate.
</div>
<div><br />

<div>So now the bone marrow transplant...
</div>
<div>(Which is Aubrey's best chance at beating this awful disease) has to wait until she's out of the ICU and healthy enough to receive the transplant.
</div>
<div>So she may have to do another round of chemo to keep the cancer at bay. Because without treatment...
</div>
<div>This cancer is so aggressive that it will take over within 2 weeks.
</div>

<div>Aubrey's Mother and I have been taking turns staying with Aubrey at the hospital every 3 days. And taking care of our son who is now 6 years old
</div>
<div>When we're at home.
</div>
<div>There is a long road ahead.
</div>
<div>Once Aubrey gets the bone marrow transplant she will have to stay admitted in the hospital for at least 6 weeks.
</div>
<div>Then after the transplant she will have the immune system of a new born baby for about a year and will need to get all her vaccinations and immunizations all over again.
</div>
<div>For the last 2 months Aubrey has needed 24/7 care and will continue to need around the clock care for a long time.
</div>
<div>The financial burden of this is huge. Due to having to care for Aubrey around the clock and taking shifts between her mother and I, we have been unable to go to work for nearly 2 months now. And we have our monthly bills to pay. As well as gas to get back and forth to the hospital.
</div>
<div>We have been using our savings to get by but that is running out fast.
</div>
<div>Unfortunately Aubrey's Mother and I divorced in May of 2025. And we share equal custody of both our children.
</div>
<div>So now there are bills for 2 households that soon neither of us will be able to pay.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This is a lot to handle, mentally, emotionally, and financially.
</div>
<div>We have to share this burden together as Aubrey's Parents equally.
</div>
<div>So we are asking for your help so we can be able to take care of Aubrey together without the added financial stress or worry of losing our homes or vehicles or utilities.
</div>

<div>Further more at this stage of Aubrey's
</div>
<div>Disease and her current condition...
</div>
<div>We don't know what the outcome will be. If the bone marrow transplant doesn't work, the only thing left is clinical trials. And those could take us far away to different states or even different countries. And unfortunately we don't have the means to do that.
</div>
<div>So we don't know if this is going to work or not, or if our daughter is living on borrowed time.
</div>
<div>So we need to both be there with her as much as we can. This has been a long and hard 2 years. We are all mentally exhausted. And We are so scared that we could lose our first born child.
</div>
<div>Aubrey is an amazing human being.
</div>
<div>Very kind hearted. And wouldn't ever do or say anything to hurt anyone. She would give you her last dollar it it would help you. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body. Her soul is pure!
</div>
<div>And Aubrey is literally the best person I have ever met!
</div>
<div>And she doesn't deserve this!
</div>
<div>This is against the laws of the universe. No child should ever have to go through this terrible disease and this horrible treatment and pain and agony.
</div>
<div>And no parent should have to watch there child go through it.
</div>
<div>We are not the type of people to ask for handouts. We've always provided of ourselves and our kids.
</div>
<div>But this is bigger than we can manage.
</div>
<div>And without your help, we could lose everything.
</div>
<div>I want to thank you for taking the time to read this long story. I wanted to make it short and too the point, but it has been a long journey for this family and Aubrey's story needs to be told.
</div>
