Athenya Shay Corn was a light to all who knew her. A devoted and loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, two brothers, a step mother, and her grandparents. She was most well known as vehement defender of her family, and was loved by all who were blessed enough to have been graced by her presence. She passed away unexpectedly in a physical rehabilitation facility in Henderson County in the early morning hours of February 17, 2025. As her family we will miss her endlessly. She did not have a life insurance policy, and had a lot of medical debt due to a lengthy list of medical ailments; all proceeds from this will go towards burial costs, and to pay for an autopsy any monies remaining will go to her medical debt.
