Support Asili ni Tamu - Shine's own festival!

Donation protected

Shine Africa organises the second Asili ni Tamu Festival on the 21st of March 2020. This beautiful celebration of traditional African music needs your support!

For Shine Africa traditional music is the mother of all music, and it deserves to stand in the spotlight! By introducing todays youth to these traditional forms of music Shine hopes to broaden their minds and enhance their pride of their African roots... Also Shine wants to give traditional groups from the villages a chance to show their art.

The festival will be one day full of traditional music and dance, where the audience will be invited to dance together with the performers, just as it still happens in the villages. During the day there will also be workshops. One teaches visitors the beginnings of traditional drumming and dancing (which they can put into practice straight away!). A second workshop will teach visitors how to make traditional African jewelry. Last but not least there will be lots of delicious traditional Tanzanian food and drinks.

Entrance is free and we won't make any profit. That's why Shine needs your support! Help Shine Africa set up this festival and come and enjoy a beautiful day with us on the 21st of March! Anyone who donates will be our VIP guest, and will enjoy a free traditional drink!
