Asian Pride was founded by CinemAsia in 2020 to create a strong, inclusive community for LGBTQ+ individuals with Asian roots—through ethnicity, culture, or lived experience. We amplify the voices and stories of LGBTQ+ Asians in Europe and Asia, celebrating identity, advocating for equity, and fighting for visibility.

Discrimination against Asians in Europe has worsened, especially since COVID-19. LGBTQ+ Asians face compounded challenges—racial bias, cultural stigma, and systemic inequality. In Asia, same-sex relationships remain illegal in over 20 countries, and basic rights like safety and healthcare are still out of reach for many.

We’re changing that. Through advocacy, storytelling, partnerships, and events like Amsterdam Pride, Asian Pride is building belonging and representation where it’s urgently needed.
