<div>My name is Micale and Ashley Peck is my sister in law. In December of 2021, Ashley was diagnosed with brain cancer after suffering a grand mal seizure. She had a golf ball sized brain tumor called an Oligodendroglioma that had to be removed almost immediately. Because of the location of the tumor, she lost the use of her left arm and left leg for two months while she recovered. While she did make a full recovery, she had to undergo extensive physical and occupational therapy.

<div>Fast forward to today. The doctors have found a second area on her brain that has to be removed by surgery, as well as a small amount of residual tumor tissue that now has to be removed with radiation and chemotherapy after surgery. She did not undergo radiation or chemotherapy after her first surgery. They do expect her to lose the use of her left side again, as the area is also on the secondary motor portion of her brain.

<div>Ashley has her final MRI on January 6th, 2025 and will undergo surgery in late January. She will be given the exact date on January 9th, 2025 when she sees the doctor again.

<div>I made a GoFundMe for her during the first surgery in 2021, and the response was nothing short of amazing. During her recovery, it will be much like after the first surgery. Her husband (Micah, my brother) will be taking a caretaker Leave of Absence from his job for 30-45 days, and Ashley will also be away from her job. After she has healed from the surgery, Ashley will be undergoing six weeks of radiation and chemotherapy.
