<div>Hello, my name is Joanna. I am organizing this GoFundMe on behalf of Arlene Garcia who is a dear friend &amp; trusted colleague of mine. The money collected is set up to go directly to Arlene, &amp; will go towards supporting Arlene on her journey as she awaits a kidney transplant. Over a year ago, Arlene found out that her kidneys were failing her due to an autoimmune disorder attacking her kidneys requiring her to receive ongoing dialysis. In between working twelve hour night shifts &amp; going every other day to her dialysis appointments after work, Arlene is busy being present &amp; active in her precious son Noah's life. On some days after getting off of work, going straight to dialysis, &amp; then picking her son up from school, Arlene will have to go back to work the same night with little rest. The process has been long &amp; arduous for Arlene as she continues to work to make a living for her son who means the world to her &amp; to pay medical bills that are now factored into the equation. Although every day is taxing on her body, if you have the chance to speak with Arlene you would not see a victim to her circumstances, but the resilience &amp; mental fortitude that she possesses. The hope that Arlene holds on to &amp; the drive to keep going has the ability to empower anybody facing their own obstacles. To see Arlene persevere against the adversity that she faces is truly an inspiration &amp; an understatement. She is one of the strongest women that I know! She comes to work with a smile on her face, &amp; always goes above &amp; beyond for her critically ill patients. She does not use her condition as an excuse to do the least amount of work possible, but upholds her commitment to delivering quality care &amp; always shows compassion towards her patients. As influential as Arlene is, I can't help but to feel empathy towards her for the daily challenges that she faces, &amp; I genuinely wish to ease some of the burdens that she quietly carries. To see the dialysis &amp; long nights of hard work towards helping others take a toll on Arlene breaks my heart. Arlene has given so much of herself to touch the lives of countless others. My heartfelt prayer &amp; request is that we pull through &amp; do the same for her because even those who are strong need to be shown love, kindness, &amp; support too. Although Arlene did not ask for this GoFundMe to be created, she is beyond grateful. Any amount donated is greatly appreciated &amp; would be a tremendous help for Arlene. For all the wonderful souls that support Arlene, I pray that all the good that you put into the world &amp; your generosity that you share with others be returned to you one-hundred fold.
