Greetings, my name is Arianna Mendoza, a first-year biology pre-med scholar at the illustrious Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. I am the first publicity director since a 5-year dormancy for an org on my campus called the Health Educational and Relief Organization, and we are going to embark on a medical mission trip to Guyana. This trip will take place from July 26th to August 2nd 2025. On this trip, I would be doing patient intake, triage, and shadowing different doctors such as surgeons and anesthesiologists.

This trip is incredibly important for me to get more hands-on clinical experiences as well as preview my future career. After medical school, I’d like to pursue a residency in general surgery, and this trip will provide insight on the hospital life of surgeons. Additionally, this trip will allow me to gain experience that I can use in hospital settings at job opportunities!
