It's Thursday, Oct. 30 and first of all I want to say a huge thank you to those of you who have contributed, and to all who are praying and keeping up with my journey. I can't thank you all enough.

Just to update, most already know I had another breast biopsy yesterday, and it went well. I should be back to normal activity tomorrow but I'm feeling pretty good. I should get the results of that biopsy Monday afternoon.

I also will have a second bronchoscopy next Friday, Nov. 7 to try one more time to determine if the nodule on my lung is lung cancer, metastasized breast cancer, or something benign. The heart and lung surgeon wanted the pulmonologist to try going in from a different direction, because if he has to do the surgery, he'll have to remove the top half of my lung to get to it. If it's breast cancer it can be treated with radiation without the surgery.

Well if you know me, you know I hate asking for help. I don't have such a problem with others asking... it's a pride issue for me that I struggle with. But in addition, we've needed so much and received so much help in the past, especially in that last very expensive move, that I'm embarrassed to ask.

But now, just as things were beginning to get better, we've been hit with my medical issues. Yes I have insurance that pays the majority of costs. But the co-pays add up. I was supplementing my income with occasional pet sitting that I'm not able to do right now.

All of us have taken loans to help with costs. While there are sources that provide aid to cancer patients, I believe our combined income is over what's allowed. And there are so many who need that help... even more than we do. If you're able to donate to those organizations, please do!

I have been paying the medical co-pays so far and it's been adding up. So I've been unable to keep up with other costs of rent and utilities. I've had so many appointments and have spent more on gas, and it's time for maintenance on my car. I have bought groceries because we have to eat. The girls have too.

I'm asking only for people to pray and give if you're led. And to pray for us either way for wisdom and provision... and of course for healing through this... all within whatever God's will is.

I am going to stop careless spending, discontinue some subscriptions to apps that I've been paying for. Y'all know how I love movies. But when things were getting better, I increased some of those monthly costs and they need to go right now.

I put the amount as $5000 because hopefully that amount and my cutting some frivolous spending like those apps will help us get the rent and monthly bills paid and help us get through this. I don't know. But I couldn't ask for more. 5000 is already a lot.

For anyone who would rather not give this way, I have cash app and venmo but rather than putting those on here, if you want to do that seems me a PM and I'll give you the address. I hesitated to do a GoFundMe but the positive thing with these is that it allows people to give anonymously if they want to. And I hesitated to do any of these things. But it's not shameful to ask for help when you need it. I don't think that when others need it... only for me.
