Anna Carlstedt-Peterson is a colleague of mine. She has been working at First National Bank of Omaha for more than 30 years, and most of us know her as Anna Peterson, the Rewards Queen. She is truly a queen of kindness and resilience. I can't think of a time when I needed help at work and didn't get it from Anna right away, even when she had to deal with a brain tumor (which I got to know about much later).
Last week, Anna was rear-ended with full impact by an inattentive driver. She was badly injured, and had to get a spinal fusion surgery to help her back heal. Anna is still in the hospital with a lot of pain after the surgery, together with dislocated shoulders and a lot of bruises.
Prior to the car accident, Anna had an accident which broke her wrist and required a surgery, and soon after, her car was stolen and totaled by the thief. The new replacement vehicle she got was damaged in last week's accident. There is no estimate for when Anna can return to work, and the road to a complete recovery is long.
Anna is a proud and strong woman, but I think she shouldn't walk this journey alone, especially after everything she has been through this year. Anna is also a single mom who is the only one her daughter Taylor can depend on. Even when she was in so much pain, the only request she had for her friends was to help look out for Taylor. I created this fundraiser, hoping we could take a little off the weight Anna and Taylor have been carrying on their shoulders.
Please join me to help Anna and Taylor to get through this. Every donation helps, and every thought/prayer counts.
Thank you.
