<div>I’m writing this on behalf of my sister, Anja, who has always been there for others—offering her time, heart, and energy to help anyone in need. She’s the kind of person who goes out of her way to make sure others are okay, often putting her own needs aside to lift those around her. Now, <strong>she’s the one who needs help</strong>, and I’m reaching out to ask for your support.

<div>Over the past several months, <strong>Anja has been facing a serious health challenge</strong> that’s been both physically and emotionally draining. She’s been dealing with some significant medical issues, and after numerous consultations, tests, and treatments, her doctors have recommended surgery as the best course of action.

<div>This has been a really tough time for her. Anja is someone who thrives on being active and staying connected with the people she loves, but this situation has put her life on pause. The thought of needing to step back from her daily routine, including the things she loves most—such as her daily gym workouts that help so much with her mental health, yoga, and even caring for her beloved cats—has been hard for her to accept. But, as always, she’s facing this with incredible strength and grace.

<div>One of the things that has been particularly challenging for her is the financial burden this surgery brings. Despite having insurance, the out-of-pocket expenses that we currently are aware of are $6,800 for the hospital and $977 for the physician, which is a significant amount. Her surgery is scheduled for August 28th, and because of the extended recovery time of up to four weeks, she may have to take leave without pay; she’s only been with her company for less than a year and has taken time off to assist with our mom’s health.
