I’m creating this on the behalf of my client Angel who is facing very hard times and is ashamed to ask for help due to being kicked down while already being down. I come humbly with a heavy heart, asking those to read not just with your eyes, but with your compassion.
Angel is a single mother of four, with children ages 5 to 11, is facing a nightmare most of us could never imagine. One of her children is bedridden, needing constant care. Her husband, once her partner in every battle, tragically ended his life due to the struggles of having a bed ridden child. It became so overwhelming for him he thought ending his life would be easier for his family not understanding it made it worse. Life insurance would not pay out and now he has left behind not just pain, but overwhelming responsibility.
She tried. She’s still trying. She’s drained her 401k. She took out loans. She maxed out all the credit cards she had in order to stay afloat all this time. I personally just paid her phone bill so people could still reach her for help, for hope. I also sent her and the children some care packages of clothes and food. But now she’s being evicted, with less than 2 weeks to come up with $3800 & still has to pay another $3800 August 1st.
She has No car to DoorDash, uber eats or anything. Even if she had a car she wouldn’t be able to because she has No one to watch her children so she can earn a living. Her youngest daughter has cerebral palsy and is nonverbal & bed ridden. She has No relatives. No support. She’s trapped in a storm where the world keeps turning as if she’s not already sinking.
She’s not lazy. She doesn’t want to give up. But she’s drowning and feels as if she can’t win for loosing. She’s willing to work. She can do any work from home jobs and is open to any options. She is willing to do Assistant work if any business owners needs it. She’s willing to accept hourly pay, daily and even weekly pay. She’s begging for a chance not just to survive, but to give her kids the safety and stability they deserve. She's a mother in crisis, a woman who deserves more than silence. We have exhausted all remedies. We have applied for rental assistance to churches nearby, Salvation Army, nonprofit organizations & more.
If you’ve ever said, “I wish I could make a difference,” this is your moment.
