<div><strong>Angelica Andazola suffered a ruptured aneurysm on November 17th, 2025.</strong> She was hit in the head with a door while taking dogs to the bathroom when a dog used his weight and momentum to push a door into her forehead. At that time, she didn't know the extent of her injury; this blunt force caused her brain to bleed. Angelica continued to work and was suffering mild headaches. A few hours later, she and I were at our home when she fainted using the bathroom. She hit her head again on the floor. The brain bleed was slow, which caused pressure to build up in her brain that caused her to faint. I had to conduct CPR as she wasn't responding or breathing. She had suffered a stroke and was rushed to St. Joseph Hospital in Plymouth, IN. There, it was found that she had severe brain bleeding. While in Plymouth hospital, she suffered another stroke during a second CT scan. She was immediately put into a medically induced coma. She was medevac via helicopter to Lutheran Hospital Fort Wayne. She immediately went into surgery to drain and relieve pressure. Doctors were fearful she had a ruptured aneurysm due to loss of blood and needed to operate and assess the damage. During this, it was discovered she was born with a rare condition that 2% of people are born with. Her frontal aneurysms stop below her retinas and aren't connected to anything. She only has two aneurysms in her back that are pumping blood flow to her brain. They're doing twice the work and are also twice as large. So when she suffered a ruptured aneurysm, she was immediately fighting for her life twice as hard. When this was discovered, she immediately went into surgery to repair her rupture. Within 24 hours, Angelica had opened her eyes and was following basic commands. Her recovery was estimated to be longer than expected; however, within four days, she's already slowly coming back into herself. She is able to eat small portions of food and drink liquids. Her memory is intact. Her speech and muscle memory seem to be coming back slowly. Her recovery will still be long and hard; however, she's prepared for the challenge. She will have to rehab and go through physical therapy. I have taken off work to be with her during this difficult time. Angelica and I share a home and have built a life together for the past 5 years. We are currently away from resources from home. She won't be able to work for an extended period of time as she continues to heal. <strong>We are asking for help during this difficult time as we work on bringing her home.</strong> Any donation is greatly appreciated and would assist with travel expenses, lodging, food, and financial obligations at home.
