Support Andrew Thomsen’s Cervical Spine Injury

Andy Thomsen was in a serious accident playing football during a scrimmage on Saturday, August 28.  He was flown to Hennepin Trauma Center in Minneapolis, MN with a neck injury.

On Monday he had a spinal fusion of C5 through C8. Andy’s surgery was successful and he is in post-op in the ICU. He is in a halo brace and still in a lot of pain.  Andy has been able to sit up and stand but there will be a lot of healing and therapy ahead.

Football is very important to Andy, something he has worked very hard for from a very young age. He is a very strong determined young man who is loved and adored by many.
