And while we witness his mourning, Andrew has, already—less than a month afterwards—started embodying a next level of radiant freedom. He is a literal Phoenix rising out of the ashes. There is something magnificent and beautiful in seeing someone traverse such a devastating loss and blossom on the other side, with renewed commitment to serve humanity with powerful new forms of service in his elder years.
