<div>We are asking for your support for Andrea and her family, as she faces another incredibly challenging battle with cancer. After a courageous fight with stage 3 breast cancer in 2017, Andrea has now been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, which has metastasized to her bones, liver and lungs.

<div>Andrea has not had an easy life, but with a positive spirit and a warrior's heart, she has devoted many hours to fundraising for the Canadian Cancer Society in hopes of finding a cure. Andrea had been fundraising for cancer since she was only 12 years old; little did she know only a few years later, as a high school senior, her father would be diagnosed with prostate cancer. Then, only a few years later, while in university, her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. Andrea continued to fundraise and spread awareness.

<div>In 2017, Andrea's husband Blair was in two serious car accidents; life was not easy at this time for Andrea and about to get worse. Andrea had now been diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer. She fought hard, stayed strong like the warrior she is, and was still spreading awareness and raising money for a cure. Unfortunately, in 2021, her mom was again diagnosed with cancer and is still staying strong, Andrea has been a rock in supporting her. Andrea was even asked to be this year's Participant of Hope at the Fraser Valley – Canadian Cancer Society Relay for Life to share her story, and she did an amazing job!

<div>Andrea and Blair started thinking of starting a family, but because of her previous cancer diagnosis, she was not able to carry the baby herself, so they did IVF and froze her eggs. The stressful and daunting search for a surrogate was on. They ended up finding a surrogate but faced many challenges over a year and a half with an ectopic pregnancy and the loss of six embryos. It was worth the struggle, finally, sweet little Miles was born this past August to his ever grateful and loving parents. Not even five months old now, Miles's beautiful mom, Andrea, is once again in a fight for her life.

<div>Blair and Andrea took a leap of faith and left their day jobs to pursue their dream of running their small business. Unfortunately, Andrea's diagnosis and treatment plan will leave them with one income, and Andrea does not qualify for any medical EI support. At such a young age, Andrea has been confronted with this unexpected and daunting diagnosis. Treatment has begun today, December 21st and we want to do all we can to support her in her healing journey like she has supported so many others before.

<div>Despite Andrea's strength and courage throughout this ordeal, the cost and expenses will place an immense financial burden on her and her beautiful little family. As she focuses on fighting this illness, we want to help relieve any worries about money and finances as much as possible. With the birth of Miles, they are still paying their surrogacy fees, and now, with only one income, they will be dealing with a lot of hardships down the road.
