Hello, my name is Heaven Kalimba.

Our family is going through an unimaginable loss and hardship. While visiting his home country of Uganda, my father was involved in a devastating accident that forever changed our lives.

In this tragic event, my father lost his uncle, someone deeply loved and respected in our family. His passing has left behind his son, who lives with mental illness and suffered life changing injuries during this accident. He is now paralyzed and has to live without his father. On top of this heartbreaking loss, my grandmother, my father’s mother, was severely injured in the accident. She was elderly and fought for as long as she could but recently passed away. This tragedy occurred just days before her birthday, turning what should have been a time of celebration into such a saddening tragedy.

The hospital bills, ongoing medical care, and funeral expenses are overwhelming, especially in a country where resources are limited and care must often be paid upfront. Our family is doing everything we can, but we cannot carry this burden alone.
