In February 2026, my 34-year-old sister Amy was diagnosed with Stage 3C triple negative invasive ductal carcinoma — an aggressive form of breast cancer.
She is just starting treatment, facing 6 months of intensive weekly chemotherapy at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, 1.5 hours from home, followed by a double mastectomy and radiation. All of this following our mother’s fight against breast cancer just last year.
Amy is a devoted mom of four — Bryce (13), Kayleigh (9), Jett (4), and baby Clay — and a talented hairdresser who loves her clients. But as a self-employed stylist, she can’t commit to working during treatment, and her income has become unpredictable week to week. Her fiancé Stephen is doing everything he can — caring for the kids, supporting Amy through treatment, and keeping his handyman business running — but the financial strain is growing quickly.
Now that treatment has begun, so has the reality of the burden:
• Frequent long-distance travel for care
• Loss of steady income
• The need for a reliable vehicle for a family of six
• Keeping their home and daily life stable
Most importantly, Amy wants to focus on what matters most — getting through treatment and making memories with her children.
We are hoping to raise $60,000 to help carry Amy and her family through this incredibly difficult year. If you’re able to donate, thank you. If not, sharing this page far and wide would mean just as much. Your support helps give Amy the space to fight this battle — and the time to be present with the people she loves most.
