<div>The kids and I have had a big year, it's been 14 months since my Cholangiocarcinoma (Bile Duct Cancer) diagnoses. I'm stage 4 with mets to my ovaries, lungs, stomach lining and liver. Chemotherapy did more harm than good, so I'm currently doing Immunotherapy once a month. My new treatment plan will include targeted therapy and the first round is an out pocket expense. The targeted therapy did well during trials, so fingers crossed! I'm hopeful for the best and planning for the worst.

<div>I'm fortunate enough to qualify for this particular targeted therapy because of a gene mutation. Unfortunately, it comes with nasty side effects including hair loss. I'm so not ready to lose my hair again, I miss my long locks.

<div>I'm unable to work, so I do not have a source of income. I do not have access to disability at this time and I do not qualify for unemployment.
</div>

<div>I have to raise money to survive and keep our dignity. The kids and I want to remain together and in our home while we prepare for the next battle and organize the end of life process. I'm planning to hire a dying doula and she's from Texas! What are the odds, I'd say it's meant to be!

<div>Our GoFundMe will cover my first round of Targeted therapy, GP clinic visits, additional therapy to treat pain, rent, basic bills and keep food on our table for up to a year. I'm preparing for my death and a miracle at the same time. If there are funds left over after my death, they will be distributed evenly amongst the kids.

<div>I've kept my circle small over the last year. My disease has been lonely, painful and humiliating. I do not have anyone to take care of me, I'm terrified and I hate being alone here in Australia. My amazing kids are with me full time, but their job is to be happy teenagers, not nurses. It has taken me over a year to ask for help, I'm trying very hard to keep my head up and dignity intact.
