Support Amie & Matt Stewart

Hello friends.

I am setting up this GoFundMe page for our dear friend/colleague Amie and her
husband Matt who are facing a monumental challenge in their lives right now.

Just over four weeks ago Amie, who is 26 weeks pregnant, found a small lump in her breast, which has rapidly grown in size.  She saw the doctor which resulted in a positive lymph node biopsy.

She has now be given a diagnosis of HER2-positive breast cancer.  She isn’t able to be given a full diagnosis or the severity of the cancer stage due to the limitations of scans due to pregnancy.  The cancer is rapidly growing and the oncology team and maternity team have developed a plan to help Amie become a mother for the second time – something that she has wished and dreamed of for a long time.



Amie has started urgent chemotherapy and has to delay mastectomy/ increased chemotherapy and radiation treatment until bub is born.  The baby is planned to be delivered prematurely at 32 - 34 weeks and spend time in neonatal intensive care.  Amie will require urgent surgery and increasing treatment to beat this awful cancer.



Amie is a mother, wife, sister, friend, and dear colleague to all, and loved by many. She is never the one to ask for help even when she needs it!

Amie is an emergency nurse practitioner and has spent her time caring for others and making sure their lives are better.  It’s our turn to spend our time caring for and supporting her. If you can help out in any way it will be so greatly appreciated.



Any funds raised here will go towards helping Amie and Matt with their loss of income, their new baby, bills, family support, donor breast milk, meals, and living expenses. 

The best way we can all help is to take away the financial stress so Amie and Matt can focus on what’s important right now - the survival of both mother and unborn baby!
