<div>Hello, my fellow Eritrean and Ethiopian brothers and sisters,

<div>I am writing with a heavy heart to ask for help for my beloved nephew, Amar
</div>
<div>Tesfay. Amar, 42 (born September 2, 1983), is fighting for his life in Addis Ababa
</div>
<div>after suffering acute kidney failure.
</div>
<div>Amar spent ten years in an Eritrean prison before becoming seriously ill and being
</div>
<div>released. Following his imprisonment, his health continued to decline, eventually
</div>
<div>leading to kidney failure. Amar is currently receiving intensive care and dialysis at
</div>
<div>a clinic in Addis Ababa due to his critical condition. His mother and sister, who
</div>
<div>have been living in a refugee camp in Ethiopia’s Afar region, have traveled to
</div>
<div>Addis Ababa to be by his side.
</div>
<div>According to doctors, he will require long-term treatment or a kidney transplant.
</div>
<div>He has also expressed interest in moving to Uganda, where he hopes to receive
</div>
<div>regular dialysis while looking for work to support himself.
</div>
<div>Between hospital stays, dialysis, medications, tests, and potential future
</div>
<div>procedures, the medical costs are rapidly becoming overwhelming. Due to
</div>
<div>Untenable conditions in Ethiopia, Amar requires urgent medical treatment in
</div>
<div>Uganda. And we are raising funds to cover:
</div>
<div> Hospital and ICU bills
</div>
<div> Medications and ongoing treatments
</div>
<div> Specialist consultations and any transplant-related costs
</div>
<div> Travel, lodging, and basic living expenses while Amar secures a permanent
</div>
<div>place to live and work
</div>
