Hello all, my name is Carl Alton Brady. I am a 47-year-old father of 4 boys and stepfather to 2 girls. My family is everything to me, and I do the best I can to support them with what I have. I own my own construction business, and if you know anything about this industry, it can be very demanding. I was recently diagnosed with esophageal cancer, and it has been a rough beginning to a long journey. Esophageal cancer is an aggressive disease with a very low cure rate, however, by the grace of God, I was able to catch this early on in the process of its development. I have two surgeries scheduled back to back on both Tuesday September 18th and Wednesday September 19th. This is a major esophagectomy, pieced into 2 surgeries. The surgery will be a lot on my body and I will have to stay in the hospital for 10-14 days after in recovery, followed by 1-3 months of down time to heal. The healing process depends on my body's ability to regain its strength, so I am praying that I will not be down for too incredibly long. I never ask anyone for much, I am usually the one helping. I am in a position where I need help myself in order to provide for my family and keep us thriving. If God has laid it on your heart to help us in any way, we would gratefully appreciate it.
