<div>On Thursday August 7, my friend Alonso had a terrible accident. His thumb got cut off as well as part of his pinky finger. In addition the remaining fingers have significant tendon damage and it is unclear to the extent his hand will be functional. He has made his living in the construction field and hopes to return to that line of work.

<div>However for the next few months at the minimum he will be unable to work. He is the main provider of his family of 4 working 7 days a week with 10 plus hour days. Alonso is one of the hardest working individuals I have ever met and always has a positive attitude. He has a wife, a 7 year old daughter, and a 2 year old son.

<div>In order to make ends meet they are asking for community support to insure they can pay their rent and utilities, as well as keep food on the table during his recovery time. Every donation makes a difference and will help Alonso and his family make it through these challenging times.
