On my birthday this year, I received a diagnosis that changed everything: Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma Stage 3. Since then, life for my son and me has been turned upside down. Weekly doctor visits, radiation treatments, and the looming need for specialized nutrition have brought a wave of expenses that I never expected. Each treatment and appointment means more copays and travel costs, and I’ve had to put off so many things just to keep up. The financial strain is real, and it’s made it impossible for my son to continue his hobbies like piano and karate, or for us to plan the simple joys we used to share together. He dreams of a day when we can celebrate together at an amusement park, but for now, we’re focused on getting through each day.

 Through all of this, the support from my church and community has been a lifeline. Meals, donations, and acts of kindness have renewed my faith in the goodness of people. I am deeply grateful for every bit of help we’ve received, and it’s given me hope to keep fighting. My faith and the love of friends and family motivate me to hold onto my hopes for healing and to make a difference once I am well again.
