The funds will help cover her treatment, day-to-day living expenses, prescriptions, transportation to and from appointments, travel for medical care when needed, and the countless unexpected costs that appear when you're trying to focus on getting well.

Her art is often labeled as provocative or shocking but when you really know Alicia, you realize she's doing something with a depth and vulnerability that not a lot of people are willing to try. Through her honesty, she calls on us to be more honest too—the good, the bad and the ugly. Her art reminds us that all of it is okay.

<div>What's even more important is the person behind all of that. Alicia has always been part of the community, a true original. She has spent decades cheering people on, helping when she can and giving her time, energy and heart to the people around her.
