Hello all...please meet my beautiful granddaughter Alice! As many of you know Alice has struggled since birth and here lately things are getting a lil harder. She was born at 37 weeks, 4lb 7oz, 17inches long. That was after she stopped growing in mama's womb at 27 weeks. We recently found out that she is tongue tied in 5 places, which is hindering her ability to eat/drink properly. She was diagnosed at 4 months old with FTT (failure to thrive) She has started OT to help with her limited functions. PT will start at the end of this month. We are currently waiting to hear from Sutter Health to schedule her MRI and EEG, to rule out seizures and then we will be able to proceed with more in depth genetic testing, with hopes to get a diagnosis that we can move forward with. At this time we are trying to raise the $550 to get her ties cut as the facility in Chico has offered us 1/2 price on the procedure, due to her insurance not covering the procedure.
