Support Alexis and Her Kids' Relocation for Medical Care

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Alexis. I am a single mother of three children, and I’m asking for help during a very difficult time for our family.

Myself and two of my children, my 14-year-old son and my 4-year-old son, all live with epilepsy. Because of this, we are constantly traveling to neurologist appointments in Syracuse. We currently live in Parish, and because I am unable to drive, we rely entirely on medical transportation. Unfortunately, we have experienced frequent ride cancellations, which have caused us to miss important medical appointments and even led to CPS involvement.

My youngest son has especially complex medical needs. He was born prematurely and was diagnosed before his first birthday with Noonan syndrome. In his four years, he has faced significant challenges, including:
  • Developmental delays
  • Failure to thrive
  • Speech delay
  • Nonverbal autism
  • Dependence on a feeding tube

He currently sees approximately 15 different specialists between Syracuse and Rochester.

Why We Need Help
I am trying to relocate our family to Syracuse so we can be closer to my son’s doctors and specialists and ensure consistent access to medical care. Relocating would mean that if my son needed urgent care while at his school, Jowonio, I could get to him quickly.

How Your Support Will Help
We are seeking assistance to cover:
  • First month’s rent
  • Security deposit
  • Initial costs associated with transferring services from Oswego County to Onondaga County

This move would allow us to create a safer, more stable environment for my children and ensure they receive the consistent medical care they depend on.

Any support, whether donations or sharing our story, means more than I can express. My goal is simply to give my children better access to the care they need and the stability they deserve.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any support you can give!

Noonan syndrome is a genetic condition that can affect many parts of the body. It often causes developmental delays, feeding difficulties, heart conditions, and growth challenges. For my son, this means ongoing medical care, multiple specialists, and daily support to help him grow and stay healthy.
